So iLL Runner

The So iLL Runner is another one of my favorites. I took them out to Red Rock to try them out for the first time. They fit really snug but surprisingly pretty comfortable. The rubber is soft but still maintains a stiff shape especially in the toe area. I like that the midsole is flexible and fits great for people like me with narrow feet high arches and long toes. The tongue is padded and soft which makes them pretty comfortable for aggressive shoes. The heel fits perfectly, which is one of my favorite parts about the shoe.

“Inspired by a retro running shoe, the Runner embodies simple aspects of classic footwear while retaining the functionality of a high-performance climbing shoe. The Runner comes in Low Volume and Regular Volume to accommodate the differentiating widths of a climber’s foot.” Check them out here, So iLL Runner.

The first place I tried them was the Kraft Boulders in Red Rock, Vegas. The rock here is incredible! I had so much fun playing around here, boulders for days!

I love the responsiveness of the Runner. In my opinion it’s a great all around shoe.

  1. I’m going to have to try some of those shoes when my current pair wears out, they look cool and they seem very helpful for heal hooks
